    A 15-year-old boy died at a hospital this week after being shot outside an Allston home, Boston police said. Police went to 17A Gordon St. in Allston around 8:10 p.m. on June 12 for a report of a person shot, the department said in a statement. Arriving officers found a 15-year-old boy outside 7 Pomeroy St., about 100 feet away, suffering from a gunshot wound. The boy was taken to a hospital and died days later, on June 17, police said. The cause and manner of his death is pending, police said.

    A deliberating juror in the Karen Read retrial told the Today Show Friday morning she is confident the panel made the right decision when it acquitted Read of killing her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe. Read, 45, was acquitted on all but a misdemeanor charge of operating under the influence after eight weeks of testimony and four days of jury deliberations.
