A 42-year-old woman is facing multiple criminal charges in connection with an incident where prosecutors say she hit a man with her car, then stabbed him in the middle of the street in Roxbury. Boston police were called to Marvin Street and Shawmut Avenue in Roxbury at around 3 a.m. on May 13, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said in a statement. Arriving officers found a man lying in a pool of blood, with cuts to his forehead and hand. The man told officers he had been stabbed.

Weather may be to blame for the deaths of two hikers, a father and daughter from New York, in a Maine state park this week, officials revealed Thursday. Esther Keiderling, 28, was found dead around 1 p.m. on Wednesday in a wooded area, Baxter State Park officials wrote in a social media post. Her father, Tim, 58, was found dead a day prior, around 2:45 p.m., near the summit of Mount Katahdin. Both Keiderlings, of Ulster Park, New York, left Abol Campground on Sunday to hike to the summit.
