(It’s a debate every Central New Yorker has had at some point: Who’s got the best pizza? This year, we’ll do our best to find out. I’m on a quest to find the best pizza shops in the Syracuse area. Throughout 2024, I’ll visit 50-plus pizzerias. At each, I’ll sample their most popular pizza, or whatever they recommend.

Syracuse, N.Y. — You just can’t beat a well-priced, all-you-can-eat buffet, especially since going out to dinner these days can cost as much as a car payment. Meet KPOT, the Korean barbecue and hot pot restaurant that opened on Erie Boulevard East last fall. Endless ingredients and the do-it-yourself cooking experience make it a food lover’s playground. But it can be intimidating if you’re a true novice. After all, the chef is you, and the possibilities are sizzling.

Geddes, N.Y. — Today is our last chance to soak up the sites, sounds, smells and tastes of the New York State Fair. We can take in one last free concert, hang out with farm animals and indulge in food that’s hard to find any other time of the year. Each morning, I’ve been passing suggestions onto you while working here.

But there’s so much more than you probably don’t know about. kAm#6A@CE6CD r92C=:6 |:==6C 2?5 p??6 w2J6D DA6?E ~A6?:?8 s2J C@2>:?8 E96 u2:C8C@F?5D =@@<:?8 7@C D@>6 9:556? 86>D[ =6DD6C\<?@H? 7@@5 2?5 5C:?<D E92E H:== 3C@256?

Geddes, N.Y. — We have Chevy Court on one side of the New York State Fairgrounds giving us free concerts twice a day, and we have Suburban Park at the other end delivering popular national acts. But there’s a lot in between. Vendors along Restaurant Row, Broadway and the east and west ends all hire local musicians and deejays to give us a soundtrack of almost any type of music.

Without saying your age, who was the catcher on your favorite team when you started watching baseball? https://t.co/bDxGKnQtMc

1960s St. Louis

If you could watch a decade of baseball - before your lifetime - live at the ballpark for every home game - which decade would you choose and which ballpark? 1920s for me. Yankee Stadium

Just a few months before the US worldview completely changed.
