    Salfordians have reacted with dismay to news that the Salford City Post office is one of the 115 post offices that are at risk of closing by 2030. A man from Salford has set up a petition to promote the planned closure to gain the community’s support to save it. Johnathon Warmisham said: ‘The closure would be a huge loss to the area and would have a massive impact on the area. It is well used by local people, especially the elderly and vulnerable.

    If you have a business where your staff receive tips, gratuities and service charges ("tips") there are important changes coming into force from 1 October 2024. The Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023 (Tips Act) is being brought in to regulate tipping to ensure that tips are allocated fairly and transparently between workers, including eligible agency workers. It also gives the Secretary of State power to issue a statutory Code of Practice on the fair allocation of tips.
