It’s a 1930s detached house in North Worcestershire. It’s just missing that slightly Edwardian ornate feel, but it’s perfectly nice and it’s generous. It’s a house of two halves in a way because my mother lives here, so we had to make sure she didn’t feel we were overrunning her home, but we had to create spaces that felt more akin to how we lived. Our previous house in Ireland was a castle, so it was much bigger. It belonged to a friend of ours, and we were living there grace-and-favour.
