Gamma Communications has moved from AIM to the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market. AIM is a sub-market of the London Stock Exchange aimed at small- and medium-sized growth companies. Gamma was first admitted to AIM in October 2014, when the company was generating revenues of £173 million from a UK customer base and with 500 employees. Over the last decade, Gamma has grown into a business with annual revenue of £580 million and 2,200 employees.

Brigantia, the UK cybersecurity distributor, has announced its acquisition by pan-European distributor Elovade. Iain Shaw, founder of Brigantia, and Martin Wright, the company’s chairman, will exit the business. The company will initially continue to run under the Brigantia name and Brigantia will retain its existing vendor portfolio.

New data from AWS has indicated that AI adoption in the UK has grown by 33 per cent in the last year. The “Unlocking the UK’s AI Potential” report, conducted by consultancy Strand Partners, showed that AI adoption has grown by 33 per cent in the past year, outpacing the European average of 27 per cent. More than half (52 per cent) of UK businesses are using AI – up from 39 per cent last year – with the vast majority (92 per cent) of businesses who have adopted AI reporting increased revenue.
