For Janet Ching one of the most rewarding things about being a mom is sharing her passion for running with her son. Looking back, eight-year-old Hansen has been involved in the Points East Lighthouse Run/Relay since his very beginning and has continued to be involved to some extent. “I was pregnant with Hansen in 2016 during the first lighthouse run,” Janet said. He travelled the route in a stroller for a couple of years and joined on his bike for the first time when he was three.

The jump from the province spending $28,000 on agency nurses in 2020-21 with a yearly increase ending with $8.8 million in 2023-24 is mind boggling. The projected cost for 2024-25 is $20.8 million.
