    Synopsys has suspended its annual and quarterly financial forecasts after receiving a letter from the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the US Department of Commerce outlining new export restrictions on goods and services to China.     AMD has acquired silicon photonics startup Enosemi. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but, in a statement, AMD said the acquisition extends the relationship between the two companies, with Enosemi having previously collaborated with the chipmaker as an external development partner on photonics. Silicon photonics has long been touted as a solution to help data centers deal with increasing bandwidth demands and improve connectivity between servers and switches.
