Ford issued three new recalls through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The three recalls cover some of Ford's most popular models, like the F-150, Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, and more. In total, more than 148,000 vehicles are affected across the three recalls, which cover faults in Ford's software, power windows, and leaking fluids. The largest, a recall for the F-150 and other large Ford vehicles, makes up the bulk of the damage, with more than 123,000 units recalled.

Ponz Pandikuthira, Nissan USA's head of product planning, told TopSpeed the company wants to bring the Xterra back from the dead. The company's rugged 4x4 SUV has become increasingly popular since production ended in 2015, thanks to its simplicity, reliability, and off-road capability. Other higher-ups at Nissan are on board too, with Pandikuthira stating Vinay Shahani, Nissan USA's head of sales, is excited about the possibility of a revived Xterra.

Used vehicle inventory levels are a solid indicator of where the used auto market is heading. At its most basic level, less supply is an indicator of an increase in demand. Cox Automotive data shows the downward trend in used car inventory is evident both over the last year and compared to this month last year. Used vehicle sales themselves rose by nine percent, a significant amount, in March compared to February, and sales were up 12 percent from last year.

At least when it comes to Subarus, the U.S. enjoys the sportiest vehicles in the automaker's lineup, like the WRX and BRZ, while Europe doesn't. Not only is it a nice little gotcha to the region that previously had the lion's share of cool, fast hatchbacks and wagons, it's also something Subaru is keenly aware of.
