On Friday, Apr. 5 in an email addressed to the USF community, university administration announced the discontinuation of the Dons men’s and women’s tennis programs, effective at the end of this season, on Apr. 27. The letter was sent by both Vice President of Business and Finance Charlie Cross and Athletic Director Larry Williams.

Out of all the weeks to say “I hate Mondays,” this is not the one! On Monday, Apr. 8, a total solar eclipse graced North America’s sky, the first since 2017. People across the continent took to the streets with protective glasses in hand to catch a glimpse of the shining phenomenon. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) stated, “A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun.

The USF men’s basketball team’s postseason run ended on Mar. 20, after a 73-72 overtime loss to the University of Cincinnati Bearcats in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). The Dons traveled to Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, OH to take on the Bearcats. Both teams went back and forth with Cincinnati going into halftime with a narrow one-point lead.

Hidden on the bottom floor of Koret Health & Recreation Center lies a combative haven where the USF Boxing Club has met since its creation in 1997. The boxing gym is tucked away, small, and full of character. The walls are decorated with old photos from “fight nights” in past years, many against local rivals, such as Santa Clara University.
