    LOS ANGELES (HawaiiNewsNow/Gray News) – A woman from Hawaii is missing after her family says she didn’t make her connecting flight in Los Angeles at LAX more than 10 days ago. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed it is investigating 30-year-old Hannah Kobayashi’s disappearance. Kobayashi was traveling from Hawaii to New York City with a connecting flight in Los Angeles on Friday, Nov. 8. Officials said she missed that connecting flight at LAX and has since disappeared.

Hannah Kobayashi, 30, was heading to New York City to visit family on Friday, but she missed her connecting flight out of Los Angeles. “I didn’t hear from her,” said Kobayashi’s mother, Brandi Yee. “I texted her, ‘Hey, are you in New York City yet?’ She just texted me, ‘Not yet.’”Yee says Kobayashi was looking forward to seeing her aunt in the Big Apple.

"The anniversary of the fires really snuck up on us," said Jared Kahaialii. Kahaialii lost his employee Maria Victoria Recolizado, 51. She died in the fire in Lahaina with her husband Eugene and their 11-year-old son Justin. "I would never wish that kind of an outcome on anyone," Kahaialii said.
