1 INTRODUCTION The SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic (hereafter referred to as the COVID-19 pandemic) disrupted the daily lives of millions of individuals worldwide. Healthcare workers, particularly nurses, at the forefront of the response to the virus have been significantly affected. Nurses faced numerous challenges, such as providing care to COVID-19 patients, working long hours, and coping with the psychological effects of the pandemic (Cai et al., 2020).
