    DEMOTTE — Mobility Ministries,Inc., a division of Mobility Worldwide, is located on 550 W, across from the Kankakee Valley Intermediate School. The ministry builds mobility carts for disabled adults in Malawi, one of the continent of Africa’s poorest country. The carts are built by volunteers and many of the parts are cut, welded, painted, padded and put together in the DeMotte location. Each cart costs about $400 to build.

    MONTICELLO - Thursday evening was the 12th annual Disability Awareness Banner Art Show Awards Ceremony held at the Twin Lakes High School auxiliary gym. Awards were given to the more than 200 entries into the art contest by Twin Lakes students and artists from disability service organizations including Lirio Resources and the White County Council on Aging. ACA Coordinator Diane Bunnell welcomed the artists and their families to the program.
