Appellation Hotels, the Healdsburg-based culinary-first hotel brand led by Chef Charlie Palmer, is readying to open the first of five planned hotels. The first, however, is not in the North Bay. Appellation Lodi — Wine & Roses Resort and Spa includes a 66-room boutique hotel that will reopen in late May as part of phased renovations of the property that began in April 2024.

Sutter Health has opened a primary care and urgent care clinic in Rohnert Park, the Sacramento-based health care system recently announced. It is the first of an additional 19 clinics in the works to open in the next three years. Sutter already operates nearly 30 in the state.

Citing poor financial performance, Avelo Airlines ― which only about a year ago opened base operations at Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport ― says it will cease those operations at the start of May, the same month it is set to begin flying deportees under a new deal with ICE. The change means Avelo will maintain only four of its current eight daily routes into and out ofSanta Rosa.
