Anopheles baileyi species D of the Baileyi Complex, subgenus Anopheles (Diptera: Culicidae) in Thailand is diagnosed and formally named An. inthanonensis Somboon & Harbach, n. sp. Morphological characters of the adults, and the pupal and larval stages with their chaetotaxy, are provided and compared with other species of the complex.

Age-standardized prevalence of hypertension has remained relatively unchanged in Thai adults from 2004 to 2019–2020 and remains higher than the global average [9]. Meanwhile, the proportion of Thai adults with controlled BP increased favorably from 2004 until 2014, but decreased by 7% points between 2014 and 2019–2020. Awareness of hypertension increased by 25% between 2004 and 2014, with the biggest increase occurring between 2004 and 2009. It then dropped by 5% from 2014 to 2019–2020.

AbstractOpen liver resection necessitates a substantial upper abdominal inverted-L incision, resulting in severe pain and compromising patient recovery. Despite the efficacy of epidural analgesia in providing adequate postoperative analgesia, the potential epidural-related adverse effects should be carefully considered. This study aims to compare the efficacy and safety of continuous epidural analgesia and intravenous analgesia in open liver resection.

The need for informed consent was waived owing to the retrospective nature of data collection. The electronic medical database was searched from January 2012 to December 2021. The inclusion criteria were patients who were at least 18 years old and diagnosed with rHCC.

AbstractSpontaneous rupture of hepatocellular carcinoma (rHCC) poses a life-threatening complication with a mortality rate of 25–75%. Treatment aims at achieving hemostasis and includes options such as trans-arterial embolization, perihepatic packing, and hepatic resection. The optimal treatment remains a subject of debate. Our retrospective review evaluates these treatments and investigates imaging’s role in prognosis for rHCC patients.
