Jan 9 (Reuters) - German exports rose thanks to strong demand from countries outside the EU and industrial production rose more than expected in November, data from the statistics office showed on Thursday. Exports increased by 2.1% in November compared with the previous month. The result compared with a 2.0% increase forecast in a Reuters poll. While exports to EU countries dropped by 1.7% on the month, exports to countries outside of the EU increased by 6.9%.

By Chiara Holzhaeuser and Dave Graham ZURICH (Reuters) -Temenos, a Swiss banking software firm, on Tuesday trimmed its mid-term targets and presented a new plan to boost growth over the next four years by boosting its sales force and focusing on the U.S. market. CEO Jean-Pierre Brulard, who joined the company in May, said the U.S. will be an important driver in helping Temenos to outperform its addressable market, which it expects to grow by 7% a year through to 2028.
