WHENEVER Michael Kahler, a stylish Brooklyn realtor, pops on his black sunglasses by Japanese brand Eyevan, “I transform into a different version of me,” he said. “I feel younger, hipper, [more] rock ’n’ roll.” Kahler, 37, sports the brand’s Havana frames, a gift from his girlfriend, on weekends, when he dresses more edgily. Purple lenses ensure a certain élan, but what gives his frames an extra kick of cool is the way they flare up and out, slightly, at the top corners. They are cat-eye glasses.
