The Lagos State Government \ has announced a diversion plan ahead of technical checks, duct calibration and land route repairs at designated locations on Lagos Island. The state Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said this in a statement on Wednesday in Lagos. Osiyemi said that the repairs would begin on Jan. 17 and end on Jan. 31.

Tha Purple Rail Line is a 60-kilometre railroad along the Redemption Camp in Ogun State planned to traverse Berger, Agege and Alimoso and terminating at Volkswagen to join the Blue Line.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has rescued eight injured passengers involved in an accident at Hammadiya inward Abule-Egba. The LASTMA General Manager, Mr Olalekan Bakare-Oki, confirmed this in a statement made available to our reporter on Friday in Lagos. Lagos State Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has directed Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) to enhance nocturnal traffic monitoring and oversight in strategic areas. Consequently, LASTMA has mobilised more than 2,500 officers for the task.
