The Penn State/Ohio State games are typically the type of game that usually come down to the final nerve wracking moments, when one team is able to make a key play or two that ensures victory. For example, this past season Ohio State was able to defeat Penn State 20-13 at Beaver Stadium, largely behind the strength of a possession that began on the Ohio State 1 yard line, consuming the last 5:13 of the game clock.

Congratulations to the 14 Ohio State players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, as well as the 3 players who were signed immediately afterwards as undrafted free agents. I freely admit to devoting last Thursday and Friday evenings, as well as last Saturday afternoon, to watching and wondering where these former Buckeyes would wind up for their respective immediate NFL futures.

Ohio State concluded its spring practice sessions with the spring game on April 12th, and despite some voiced concerns by Ohio State head coach Ryan Day about the Ohio State defensive line (more on that momentarily), the Buckeyes head into the crucial summer workout periods having fulfilled one of the most crucial concerns – staying healthy. I can only guess that Coach Day and his assistant coaches collectively exhaled once the spring game finished.
