OU finished first with a winning team score of 198.0125 in the championship finals on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas. No. 4 UCLA finished second with a score of 197.6125. Missouri (187.2500), the lowest seed of the four finalists at No. 7, jumped over Utah in the final rotation to claim third place in its first-ever NCAA Women's Gymnastics Championships final.

It could be a historic day. On Saturday, both the Oklahoma men and women will compete in the 2025 NCAA Gymnastics Championships finals with a good chance of bringing home a pair of national championship trophies to Norman. The No. 2 Sooner women are the highest seed of the four teams in the women's final being held in Fort Worth, Texas.

There will be a lot of new faces again. The men's college basketball season ended Monday night with the crowning of the 2025 national champions, Florida Gators. Oklahoma was not be part of that ceremony, but at least the Sooners were one of the 68 teams that began the March Madness journey three weeks ago. And that was a bigger deal this year because OU had not been a participant in the NCAA Tournament for the last three seasons. Attention for the Sooners has shifted to the offseason.

The No. 5 Sooners will get a rematch with Georgia on Thursday. The newly 10th-ranked Oklahoma women's basketball team got to wait and watch on Wednesday as the SEC Women's Basketball Tournament got underway at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The Sooners (23-6, 11-5), the No. 5 seed in the SEC tournament, will see their first action on Thursday, facing 12th-seeded Georgia in a second-round matchup.

The Sooners are struggling while the Gators are soaring. Remember just a little over a month ago when Oklahoma and Florida were two of just four teams in college basketball that remained undefeated a month and a half into the season? Fans of both teams were circling the date of Feb. 18 with anticipation of the hoops showdown between the Sooners and Gators in Gainesville, Florida. The Sooners were 13-0 at that point and were ranked No. 12 in the Associated Press Top 25.
