Director of Kutler Center and Summer School Programs Jim Patterson partnered with Coast-to-Coast Camp Fairs to host the Summer Camp Fair at the Upper School on March 15. Many local summer programs, including Canyon Creek Summer Camp, Prime Time Sports Camp, Summer Acting Camp, Got Game Summer Camp and more participated in the fair. The organization holds events to connect families with summer opportunities all around the nation.

The Choral Concert took place in St. Saviour’s Chapel during lunch on March 12. Wolverine Singers, Bel Canto and Chamber Singers performed in addition to several solo performances. The concert opened with former Symphony Conductor and Music Teacher Mark Hilt playing the organ with Nadya Hitomi ’25. Performing Arts Teacher Zanaida Robles and Science Teacher Jesse Reiner then harmonized to “Good Morning,” an original piece written by Reiner.

The Black Leadership Awareness and Culture Club (BLACC) collaborated with the Gender and Sexuality Awareness (GSA) Club to host the fifth annual BLACC Out Dance in Chalmers East on Feb. 22. The dance was open to all grades, and the clubs collaborated to plan the layout of the dance and purchase games and decorations, which were also used the night before during GSA’s Violet Disco. BLACC Leader Tiffany Armour ’25 said the dance was fun because she got to connect with other members of the community.
