Unveiled on Friday 17 May, a striking new monument honours the memory of LGBTQIA+ people persecuted and murdered under the Nazi regime during World War II has been unveiled in Paris. Falling on the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (known better as IDAHOBIT), the unveiling was a deliberate gesture of solidarity between the traumas of the past experienced by LGBTQIA people, and the struggles still faced today.
