John Stanley, 31, of Kennet Avenue, appeared for sentencing at Swindon Crown Court on Thursday, May 1. On Sunday, October 6, 2024, the 31-year-old raped a woman and caused intentional strangulation during an incident in Swindon.

Connor Kirkley, 30, of Western Street, Old Town, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary with intent to steal, going equipped for burglary, theft of a pedal cycle, two counts of fraud by false representation, two counts of theft from a motor vehicle and possession of a Class B drug at an earlier hearing at Swindon Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, March 5. He appeared before Swindon Crown Court on Friday, May 9, for sentencing.
