The young Dutch goalkeeper, Femke Liefting has joined Chelsea from AZ Alkmaar, signing a three and a half year deal with the Blues. The rising star will wear the No. 28 shirt for Sonia Bompastor’s side. Femke Liefting began her career playing youth football with FC Uitgeest. The 20 year old then made her official professional debut with VV Alkmaar in 2021 before making her debut for AZ Alkmaar in 2023 after they replaced VV in the Eredivisie.

Hannah Hampton recently marked her 100th Women’s Super League appearance, becoming the youngest goalkeeper in WSL history to achieve the feat. The 23-year-old started her fifth league match for Chelsea this season and marked a major milestone in both her career and the WSL history books. Many of these "phages" - as they are for short - have never been identified. The researchers from Northwestern University in Illinois swabbed 92 showerheads and 36 toothbrushes.
