    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Authorities said that a 37-year-old Little Rock woman was sentenced to 15 years in prison after transporting stolen human body parts, which included fetuses, out of Arkansas. According to authorities, Candace Chapman Scott of Little Rock, will serve 15 years in federal prison in a decision handed down by United States District Judge Brian S. Miller on Thursday, Jan. 16.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Arkansas has been granted $17 million by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to improve efforts towards enriching the health of pregnant women, new mothers, and babies. The Transforming Maternal Health (TMaH) grant was awarded by HHS's Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services and aims to "support key efforts" towards improving the overall health of Arkansas pregnant women, new moms, and babies.

    Share LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Tuberculosis cases are on the rise among adult and pediatric populations in the Natural State, according to the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH). According to ADH, the department has recorded over 100 cases in the state since November of 2024— this is the first time in 15 years that Arkansas has eclipsed 100 tuberculosis cases in a year.
