Bert Kreischer’s been a successful comedian for years, but I'd never heard of him until a few months ago when I caught an episode of his since-canceled Netflix show, The Cabin, in which he was lying nude on the floor while getting a coffee enema. Comedian Bobby Lee was getting ready to strip down and join him, at which point I turned the show off. I'm a fan of comedy, not  self-indulgent exhibitionism.

Tucker Carlson, not long ago, was about as urban as a guy can get. Brought up in comfort in La Hoya, California, he worked for The Weekly Standard, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, The Daily Caller, and Fox News. But now he's shed the suit and tie for baggy pants, boots, and flannel shirts and is living the country life in rural Maine, hunting and fishing, as high-testosterone, high-sperm-count men will do.

Grant Cohn is a reporter covering the San Francisco 49ers on the SI website. His abrasive, unorthodox approach has made him into the players’ (and many fans’) bête noire, but I was startled to see this recent tweet from fullback Kyle Juszczyk: “Maybe we can keep @grantcohn from always hanging around our lockers while we’re changing.” Reporters generally hang out in the middle of the locker room while the players change.

The Democrats, ever vigilant in guarding our “fragile” democracy, have identified a new threat—the First Amendment. That monumental addendum codified the right of all Americans to speak freely even if it offends the government, affording them a level of freedom not available in the rest of the “free world.” And, before Donald Trump short-circuited their minds, the Democrats recognized it was the cornerstone of democracy.

Years ago, a friend told me she wouldn't listen to “pop” music. This was when there was plenty of good pop music. We were discussing a musical artist we both liked—Angélique Kidjo—and my feeling was that she was being snooty, expressing her superiority over me. I started listening to pop music as a teen, and was instantly hooked.
