German hotel group Motel One has celebrated the opening of its one hundredth hotel, as it continues to drive for growth. The launch of the latest hotel, in Munich, is a key milestone in the development of the business, which has in recent years added a second lifestyle brand, The Cloud One to its original Motel One hotel brand. “The opening of our 100th hotel represents a significant milestone in the development of our company and our growth strategy,” said co-CEO Stefan Lenze.

Hotel management group Aimbrige EMEA is building its momentum into 2025, having signed no less than nine new properties in the first quarter of the year. The additions mean a further 1,300 rooms have been added to the company’s portfolio, as it looks to build alliances with landlords and major international hotel brand groups. Hotel owner ProArk agreed to pass operations of its six UK hotels to Aimbridge, all carrying Accor‘s Mercure brand.

The Standard hotel brand has confirmed a May 2025 opening for its latest hotel, Standard Brussels. The new hotel in the Belgian capital will be part of the ZIN redevelopment, in the northern quarter of the city. Its design brings together the best of the Standard’s in-house design team, working in harmony with Belgian architecture practices Jaspers-Eyers Architects, and Bernard Dubois Architects.

Serviced apartment group Cheval Collection is poised to take its portfolio above the 1,000 units milestone, as it makes plans to add further properties during 2025. The company opened Cheval Maison – Expo City Dubai in March 2025, with the opening taking the international portfolio to more than 950 operational apartments. It has more than doubled in size in just four years, from a point where the Lexham Gardens by Cheval Maison project was opened in London.
