    SWAVE Photonics is developing a new type of holographic spatial light modulator based on phase-change memory materials. At CES 2025, it showed the results of a new modulator that uses a color filter and can encode two planes of information. Several demos showed this, along with a monochrome red demo of an AR glasses application that featured a holographic element to redirect the light to the retina. SWAVE also has developed simulation software to model the performance of the device.

    Ceres Holographics used CES 2025 to showcase the capabilities of its transparent automotive display solutions. These are based on their Holographic Films coupled with a projection source to create a Heads-up Display for the driver or passengers. Their digital master approach enables the fabrication of large holographic films. Demos with multiple projector technologies and film sizes were shown along with future tech needed to reduce the HUD volume. Full video news report below.
