    In just a few years, the team at Ingalls Shipbuilding brought the Harrisburg LPD 30 from rendering to reality. The christening of the amphibious ship celebrated a culmination of time and effort and represents the future for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. The speeches before the christening highlighted the connection between the history of Pennsylvania's capital city and the values of the U.S. Navy. Once the ship is commissioned, it will officially be the USS Harrisburg.

    A woman was pronounced dead following a fatal car crash. The Mississippi Highway Patrol said the crash happened Sunday evening on MS-18 West near Tom Collins Road in Hinds County.A 2004 Chevrolet Colorado driven by 55-year-old Tisha Cummings, of Raymond, was traveling westbound when it lost control and overturned. Cummings received fatal injuries after being ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased on the scene.This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
