Aug. 18—2024 has been characterized by chaos, and it's only August. The continuation of numerous conflicts worldwide, violently contested elections and gang takeover of governments. A global IT outage that canceled thousands of flights, stranding hundreds of thousands of people, and grinding some businesses to a halt. For the first time since 1968, an incumbent president dropping out of a bid for re-election. With all this chaos, it is time for us all to pause and take a collective deep breath.
