The November meeting of the Pulaski County Board of Education was all about Blue Ribbon schools — past and present. In September, Northern Elementary School, part of the Pulaski County School System, was named a National Blue Ribbon School for 2024 by the U.S. Department of Education, based on overall academic success, one of only five public schools in Kentucky and 356 in the U.S. to earn that distinction.

Sample of Somerset at 5:30 p.m is being moved indoors at the Rocky Hollow Rec Center due to weather concerns, per organizer Wynona Padgett.

According to the Pulaski Sheriff's Office, the Bronston shooting suspect is in custody at this time.

As of 1 p.m. Monday, according to 911 dispatch in Pulaski County, there has been a gunshot victim in the Bonnie Blue Lane area of southern Pulaski and the suspect is still at large. More details will be available in the Commonwealth Journal.
