The property sector has welcomed Queensland Premier David Crisafulli’s unveiling on Tuesday of the venues, infrastructure and transport needed for a fully costed $7.1bn 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.     Australasian real estate fund manager Centuria Capital Group has sold a three-level campus style office building north of Brisbane which it developed six years ago. Sysney-based investment company Sandran Property Group paid $55.5m for the A-grade building at 6 Coulthards Ave, Strathpine, which was the purpose-built headquarters for ASX-listed Super Retail Group. The sale realised 14 per cent initial rate of return for investors of a single-asset wholesale fund.

    A boutique commercial real estate agency is relocating to an iconic inner west entertainment precinct aiming to play a big role in its revitalisation. Chase Commercial owner Rod Brown paid $3.975m for a two-level office building with basement carparking at 36 Park Rd, Milton. The building is a new addition to Mr Brown’s $25m commercial property portfolio and he will move his team from their Woolloongabba address and embark on a refurbishment of the building. He will lease out the other tenancies.

    Melbourne developer Oreana has secured its second masterplanned community in Queensland, acquiring Stockland’s mega North Shore development in Townsville. Industry sources say Oreana paid more than $70m and will continue to deliver the masterplan, acquiring about 160ha of net developable residential land as well as the balance of the town centre, which has space to double its existing footprint.
