Bird flu has been found on a poultry farm south of Dereham - Norfolk's third case in the last week as a worrying new outbreak grows. Animal health officials have confirmed the highly pathogenic H5N1 strain of avian influenza was found in commercial poultry near the village of Southburgh on December 10. Defra says all poultry on the infected farm will be humanely culled, and a 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone have been put in place surrounding the premises.

7 1/1 Vintage agricultural machines were put through their paces in a ploughing match to raise money for a farming charity. The Norfolk branch of RABI (the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution) held the event at Church Farm in Mautby, near Great Yarmouth. About 20 people entered the ploughing competitions, watched by an enthusiastic crowd of spectators.
