TAMPA, Fla. — World War II veterans will be back on the beaches of Normandy, France on Friday, marking 81 years since D-Day. On June 6th, 1944, allied forces launched the massive invasion that helped liberate western Europe from Nazi control. The landings remain the largest seaborne invasion in history and are widely regarded as the catalyst for Allied victory. One WWII veteran from Tampa went to Normandy last year and still can't believe how much the French people thanked and admired him.

Turns out it was a historic cloudburst that's becoming more common across Tampa Bay. In less than an hour, just before lunchtime, more than two inches of rain fell.

After complaining for weeks -- they also say management at Mirela North Apartments hasn't done anything to get rid of the pests. Even before Earlecea Reeves steps into her apartment, she walks up a flight of stairs littered with dead termites. “At this point, it's a crisis and day after day, it's getting worse and worse,” she says.
