Years and years ago, while trying to impress a girl, I showed up to pick her up on Earth Day with a few trees in the back of the car. We hiked up into the Poudre Canyon on Earth Day and planted them. She was impressed for a few years. No, it didn't work out in the end. But I do still wonder about those trees and if they made it!Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year, and this year is no different. It's a day to celebrate all this world has to offer and do something good for the planet.

Mitchell Wood, the owner of Powerwash Bros in Morgantown, West Virginia, became an unexpected hero when he used his power washing equipment to extinguish a brush fire that broke out in Fairmont. While driving back from a job, he noticed a massive cloud of smoke near one of his customers' houses and decided to take action. Wood quickly joined the property owner, who was already trying to fight the fire, and used his pressure washer to douse the flames.
