The Lancaster Stormers honored the Harrisburg Giants and the 100th anniversary of the Negro League team playing its first home game in the county by wearing replica jerseys when they faced the Long Island Ducks on Friday at Penn Medicine Park. The Giants played Sunday home games at Rossmere Base Ball Park, where Lancaster Catholic High School now stands, from 1925-27. The Giants were then part of the Eastern Colored League, which in 2020 was recognized as a major league by MLB.
