7 1/1 Liam Manning has already made history – as the first Norwich-born man to be put in charge of the Canaries. Manning was born in Norwich on October 20, 1985 – the day before Norwich went to Sunderland and won 2-0 in the old Second Division (scorers - Peter Mendham and David Williams). Only one other man from Norfolk has managed City – the great David Stringer, who was born in Great Yarmouth in 1944.

Rudd was a King’s Lynn legend – not only had he played for the club, he was also a former manager, club president and ambassador. He held the roles of player-manager from 1977-79 and again from 1979 to 1984. He was twice caretaker manager before becoming manager in early 1989 to May 1990, which took his total of games in charge to 445. As a player he scored 185 goals in more than 500 appearances for the Linnets.

Fletcher Toll, 21, joins Gold Omotayo in manager James Rowe's attacking stocks at Lynn, who opted not to offer joint leading scorer Jonny Margetts a new deal at the end of last season. It's a big step up to National League North level, but Toll is confident he can handle it. "It feels really good," said Toll. "As some may know it seems like we've been in talks for a while, but buzzing to get it done.

Left-back Bailey Clements follows Reece Hall-Johnson into the club as Rowe builds a new squad for the 2025-26 National League North campaign. The 24-year-old Clements came through the system at hometown club Ipswich, but joined Chesterfield in 2020, moving to National League South Hornchurch last summer. Dylan Crowe and Greg Taylor – who were both capable of playing left back – left Lynn soon after Rowe’s predecessor Adam Lakeland was sacked. “It (the move) was fairly quickly,” said Clements.
