In a broad show of support accompanied by hoots, hollers, high-fives, and for some, kisses, thousands of students and spectators thronged the barricades along the 129th Boston Marathon route as a part of the annual “Scream Tunnel” tradition at Wellesley College. The decades-old tradition is often described as “the best day on campus” by students at the private women’s college, including by Wellesley College sophomore Julia Reste.

The 129th Boston Marathon kicks off on the morning of Monday, April 21. And alongside the tens of thousands of runners and wheelchair racers, hundreds of thousands of spectators will line the 26.2-mile route and watch remotely to cheer them on. The annual race, put on by the Boston Athletic Association (BAA), is a celebratory event that falls in line with the statewide holiday of Patriots’ Day in Massachusetts.

CashNetUSA collected prices from three McDonald’s restaurants near the center of the three most populated cities in each state and the District of Columbia and calculated the average cost of a Big Mac across the restaurants in each state and city.

A worker at a Texas Dairy Queen captured a moment she won’t soon forget when country music singer George Strait pulled up to the establishment’s drive-thru window. MySA, a San Antonio-based media outlet, reported that worker Becky Gonzalez took a picture with Strait when he stopped by Dairy Queen for lunch on April 12 in the small town of Cotulla, about 90 miles south of the city.
