Light breezes, partly cloudy skies, with only a small chance of an early evening shower. Highs will still be pleasant in the 60s and 70s. Tuesday - Wednesday, much cooler, wetter, and windier. Count on scattered showers for both days with Wednesday trending a little heavier.

Severe weather anticipated this afternoon A rise in heat, humidity, and an unstable atmosphere is creating the perfect environment for severe thunderstorms in eastern Idaho and western Wyoming this afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center (SPC), the branch of the National Weather Service that specializes in severe weather forecasting, has highlighted eastern Idaho for this afternoon for storm risk.

Roller coaster of a forecast A roller coaster week ahead as our near record warmth turns into below average temperatures. Sunday (mother's day), mixed cloud cover in the morning but scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. A few thunderstorms could be on the stronger side. An isolated severe thunderstorm with strong wind gusts is a possibility. Daytime highs will still be nice with highs in the 70s. Monday, a Quieter day.

A windy Monday ahead Wind Advisory: Monday 1pm to 10pm for northern Snake River Plain. Winds of 25-35 mph with gusts upwards of 50 mph are possible. -------------------------------------------------A windy start to the workweek but the rest of the week looks pretty nice. Monday - Tuesday, we have a wind advisory for Monday as wind gusts could top 40-50 mph at times, especially in the afternoon. We also have a chance for a few showers Monday that will linger into Tuesday.

Showers, storms, and sun all in the forecast A bit of a roller coaster forecast with temperatures changing quite a bit day to day. Some days look to be rain and cooler; others will be sunny and warmer. Monday, an area of low-pressure spins to our south bringing a chance of showers and maybe a thunderstorm for the day. Highs will be in the 50s and low 60s. Tuesday- Wednesday, starting late Tuesday a front will slide through bringing showers and gusty winds to the area.
