The construction and closure of 17th Street in Ammon is less that three weeks away from completion according to the Ammon City Administrator Micah Austin. "The way we understand it is that all five lanes of the bridge will be open before July 4th," said Austin. The City of Ammon is not directly associated with the construction project.

    D91 and IFEA have planned mediation on Wednesday In an effort to get a contract nailed down before the start of next school year, Idaho Falls School District 91 and the Idaho Falls Education Association (IFEA) will officially go into mediation on Wednesday, June 18. The meeting starts at 8:30 am at D91 offices. Initially, the start of the meeting will be open to the public, but actual mediation efforts will be a private, closed door, affair.

Monday - Wednesday, generally sunny and mild . Highs will be in the upper 70s and low 80s. We do expect a few more clouds in the afternoon with some pop-up showers in the highlands. We might see a shower or two drift into the snake river plain, but most of us will stay dry. Thursday - Friday, hot and sunny.

    “No Kings” marches happen all over eastern Idaho IDAHO (KIFI)-In alignment with national protests, Idahoans used their first amendment right to express their dissatisfaction with the Trump administration. Today's "No Kings" marches occurred in several cities across the region including Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Salmon, Jackson Wyoming, among others. Some of the marches drew fairly large crowds with both Pocatello and Jackson reporting hundreds of attendees, and Idaho Falls seeing around 1,300.

    A mostly warm and sunny forecast, but a few thundershowers possible A fairly dry and comfortable forecast. After a warm Sunday with highs in the upper 80s, we cool a bit for the first half of the work week with highs in the 70s and low 80s. In general, we will stay dry, though a few afternoon highland showers for Sunday - Tuesday are possible. Wednesday through Friday we see another stretch of warm to hot temperatures.
