A brief cooldown, then a slow warmup A brief cool down with highs in the 60s and 70s, but it doesn't last long as upper 70s and 80s return for the latter half of the work week. We do have occasional chances of rain and storms such as Tuesday night and Friday afternoon. However, most weather models point to relatively small chances and generally relegate storm chances to the highlands and mountains.

A beautiful forecast ahead Look for several days of beautiful weather ahead. High pressure taking control means we don't expect a lot in the way of storms over the next few days with plenty of sunshine instead. If we do get rain, our best chance will be pop-up showers in the afternoons in the mountains. They'll be sporadic in nature, and typically won't last more than an hour or so. Occasionally a few of these storms will drift into the valleys.

Warm, but pop-up showers possible As we kick off the holiday weekend, it seems mother nature is smiling on us with beautiful weather. In general, the forecast is very nice, but a few showers here and there are possible. Over the rest of the extended weekend, very little in the way of significant rain is expected. The exception, the mountains could see a pop-up storm or two in the afternoon.

A few more showers, but warmer temps are on the way After a chilly, rainy, and windy day, we're now looking at a frosty evening. Frost advisories have been issued for the Snake River Plain. Hardy plants should be fine, but cover up any sensitive plants as it will get chilly tonight. Overnight lows across the region will dip into the low 30s and upper 20s. The rest of the forecast sees a steady warming trend with highs going from the lower 60s on Monday to the upper 70s by Friday.
