Thermal efficiency is a measure of how much of the potential energy of a fuel is consumed to create power, versus how much of it is simply generating waste heat. In pure terms, an automotive internal-combustion engine is not very efficient. For example, Toyota made a big deal in the late 2010s when it achieved 40 percent thermal efficiency in its Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine. Meaning it was only wasting 60 percent of its potential energy.

I liked what I saw from Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa during the organized team activities and minicamp this offseason. The command, the confidence, the poise, the leadership. I’m not talking about the passes Tua threw during practice. I’m talking about Tua at the podium, and talking to teammates between plays, and his off-the-field stuff. Tua is evolving. He’s growing. You hope he continues to grow. You hope he blossoms into a special quarterback in 2025.

The race between Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill and Olympic champion Noah Lyles that was supposed to take place this weekend in New York’s Times Square has been canceled, Lyles told reporters Tuesday. Hill, one of the NFL’s fastest players, ran a 10.15-second 100-yard dash last week in the Los Angeles suburb of Sherman Oaks in preparation for his race against Lyles, the American who won the 100 meters at the Paris Olympics in 2024.

Let’s be clear about something: The Miami Dolphins enter the 2025 season relying on Plan B — winning with draftees and young players. The Dolphins are on Plan B because Plan A — winning with veterans — failed. Plan A didn’t deliver its goal of winning a Super Bowl. It didn’t even produce a playoff win. kAm$@[ E96 s@=A9:?D 92G6 232?5@?65 !=2? p]k^AmkAm%96 BF6DE:@? ?@H :D H96E96C !=2? q :D 3F:=E @? 2 D@=:5 7@F?52E:@?]k^AmkAm%@ 96=A AC@G:56 2?
