Capital High School has been giving out the Bob Bean and Jude Gleason awards for some time, but for the second year in a row, there was a tie, at least for the Bob Bean. The awards are presented annually to each school’s top male and female senior athletes. Recipients must have participated in two or more sports all four years, while exhibiting stellar attributes in athletics, academics, character, attendance, sportsmanship, leadership and citizenship.

Michigan football has an impressive list of official visitors coming this weekend as the Wolverines are building momentum on the recruiting trail. Momentum is a tangible thing in recruiting and Michigan football is starting to build it. The Wolverines landed two commitments last week, from tight ends Matt Ludwig and Mason Bonner -- two talented pass catchers. Michigan football has been building on that momentum since.

EA Sports released the cover athletes for College Football 26, both the regular edition the deluxe editions, which come out in early July. The Michigan basketball program will hear a decision, one way or another from Yaxel Lendeborg by Wednesday night. By the end of Wednesday night, the Michigan basketball team will finally get an answer, one way or another, whether or not Yaxel Lendeborg, the top player available in the transfer portal ahead of the 2025-26 season, will play for the Wolverines. The Wolverines landed his commitment after Lendeborg entered the portal from UAB. However, he was always going to explore the NBA draft.
