Despite losses in recent years, Google still has a 90+% share of the search market. So, we’re still talking about the biggest search engine, by far. The thing is, these stats only compare Google Search vs other traditional search engines – like Bing and Yandex – which doesn’t tell the whole story. The real headline is that search is expanding beyond search engines.

The cuts will take effect from Friday. Halifax is part of Lloyds Banking Group, which remained the UK’s biggest mortgage lender last year, lending £52.7 billion in 2022, according to figures from trade association UK Finance. First Direct said it has reduced rates across more than 20 of its two-, five- and 10-year fixed-rate mortgages by up to 0.20 percentage points, with immediate effect.

To establish the impact of the current cost of living rise, First Direct commissioned a survey to explore how people’s holidays are being affected by everything that’s going on at the moment. The survey revealed that six in ten people have seen the cost of living rise have a direct impact on their holiday plans – so much so in fact, that one in five cancelled their holiday altogether.
