By integrating DEI factors into investment portfolios, fund firms can avoid the ‘diversity dressing’ common to much of the industry. Many asset managers have increasingly acknowledged the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI). Research by WTW has found the top quartile of diverse asset managers outperform less diverse peers by 45 basis points per annum, making diversity of thought an integral success factor for the industry.
