AMTRAK WANTS TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR PEOPLE TO GET THERE. THE TOWN OF ALLENSWORTH WAS ESTABLISHED BACK IN 1908. IT WAS THE FIRST TOWN IN CALIFORNIA TO BE FOUNDED, FINANCED AND GOVERNED BY AFRICAN AMERICANS. THE HISTORIC SITE WILL BE REDEDICATED OCTOBER 14TH. AMTRAK IS SCHEDULING A SPECIAL STOP AT THE PARK.
