    Watford captain Wesley Hoedt scored a contender for goal of the season at Hull this weekend as an ambitious plan thwarted by Leicester City eventually reaped a stunning reward. Hoedt seized possession just over the halfway line in the 74th minute of Saturday's Championship clash before having the awareness to lob Hull keeper Ryan Allsop in an extraordinary moment of ingenuity. The goal gave Watford a 2-1 victory.

    Stoke City have been handed a home tie against Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion in the third round of the FA Cup. Stoke have entered this year's competition along with the other clubs from the Championship and Premier League. And Alex Neil's side can look forward to taking on Brighton at the bet365 Stadium.
