Boorloo-based Kukatja and Pintupi artist ICONYX has released her debut album, Blak On Trak, at 17 years old. The album showcases her powerful voice, her cultural heritage, and her unique perspective as an artist telling stories and navigating the world without sight. Blak On Trak is an expansive work that blends hip-hop, R&B, world and contemporary music, drawing from ICONYX’s East Kimberley roots, and her experiences growing up in Whadjuk, Noongar Boodja.

RTRFM has been nominated for Best Music Website at this year’s Webby Awards, and is up against titans of the music industry, such as Apple Music, Lady Gaga, and Billie Eilish. The Webby Awards are the leading international institution honouring excellence on the internet. The fresh, exciting RTRFM website was designed by local web agency Start Digital, and officially launched in August 2024. RTRFM was a massive underdog contender, nominated out of 13,000 submissions to the Music Website category.

Holli Scott is a Perth-based jazz vocalist, bandleader and composer whose music features evocative lyricism and a lush sound. She has received significant awards buzz at the WAM Awards, and was also a 2020 finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Holli Scott released her debut album, DUST, in 2019, and released her sophomore album Weather and Weeds just last year. She worked with pianist Tal Cohen and saxophonist Jamie Oehlers to craft a record comprised of equal beauty and darkness.

Kankawa Nagarra, hailing from the East Kimberly is a singer, songwriter and story teller. She sings Wirlmarni and Kimberley Creole. Her most recent album Wirlmarni won the Australian Music Prize at the end of 2024. Wilmarni, in English means disappearing and tells the story of her culture and fellow elders who over time have slowly disappeared in both language and story telling.
