Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Special Ranger Cody Hyde, District 3 in East Oklahoma, reports 15 black-brindle Charolais crossbred steers missing in Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. The steers weigh approximately 800 pounds and have 1/3 branded on the left hip. They also have red or purple ear tags in the right ear with 1/3 STONEY BROOK written on the tag. Conditions continued from last week with the southern part of the country, where above-normal temperatures and mostly dry weather across the Rio Grande Valley, Texas, and the lower Mississippi Valley saw drought conditions continue to deteriorate. Drought intensified across Texas and the lower Mississippi Valley, particularly in eastern Texas, Louisiana and south-central Mississippi.

Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Special Rangers are looking for information in relation to the shooting of five head of cattle. Information leading to an arrest or indictment of involved parties is eligible for a cash reward. The cattle were shot at the intersection of Stuart Road and Old Stuart Road in San Antonio.

Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association Special Ranger Joe Aguilar Jr., District 29 in South Texas, reports a group of cow-calf pairs stolen from a pasture near Zapata. The pairs are red with white faces, have yellow ear tags in the left ear and are branded with JZ on the left or right hips. They also have USDA RFID tags. The victim turned his cattle out in the suspect’s pasture, per a prior agreement. The suspect proceeded to remove the cattle without the consent or knowledge of the owner.
