    Happy Sunday, everyone. We're tracking some cloud cover today and the possibility of an isolated shower. If that does develop, it's going to be after 1 o'clock this afternoon, and most of us are going to stay dry. Any pop-ups will be short-lived. Mid 80s expected later today, and we're going to feel like the 80s as well. Comfortable night ahead of us tonight. I will say we are tracking some smoke from Canada, wildfires breaking out across. Canada and some of which over the past 24 hours.

    A cold front has cleared the state with a high pressure left in its place. Dewpoints have fallen and skies are clear. The last day of May is expected to be a gorgeous one with highs in the mid 80s. Sunday will be just as beautiful. A disturbance will try to squeeze out a few showers Sunday afternoon, but high pressure could limit any chance provided.The first part of next week will be very warm but dry with low humidity.

TODAY IS GOING TO BE A NICE DAY OVERALL WITH HIGHS IN THE MID 80S. SKIES WILL REMAIN PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY BEFORE STORMS ARRIVE THIS EVENING. IT LOOKS LIKE THE DAY WILL BE DRY WITH STORMS PICKING UP AFTER 5 P.M. LIKE THE PAST SEVERAL DAYS, STRONG STORMS PRODUCING DAMAGING GUSTS, HAIL AND FLOODING WILL BE A CONCERN FOR SOME.

THE BIGGEST IMPACTS FOR STRONG STORMS THIS MORNING WILL RANGE FROM THE METRO AND SOUTH. STORMS WILL CLEAR BY NOON. THE AFTERNOON LOOKS OVERALL DRY BUT THERE COULD BE A FEW HIT OF MISS LINGERING STORMS.

    A wave of rain and storms impact the state for a third day in a row. Like Saturday and Sunday, a leading line of heavy rain and storms will bring a threat for strong/damaging gusts and hail. Severe thunderstorm warnings will be possible. Morning showers and storms should clear late morning with a small break midday. The worst of the weather arrives after 1 p.m. and clears central Mississippi by 6 p.m.We reset overnight with rain coming to an end and temperatures falling to the low 70s.
