Cold front brings clouds, near seasonal highs

A cold front moves through the state Tuesday morning, bringing gusty winds and overcast skies. Clouds will part through the day, leaving sunny skies for the afternoon. Temperatures will turn cooler than Monday, going from the 60s in the morning to the mid 70s.The forecast turns chilly by Wednesday morning with lows in the 40s, but highs will rebound to the upper 70s. High pressure rebuilds by the end of the week, keeping lows warmer with highs back in the mid 80s.

Temperatures will heat up to the upper 70s to low 80s Thursday ahead of a Thursday night front. A thin band of storms will be possible after 8 p.m. through 2 a.m. as the front moves from north to south. An isolated strong storm is possible north of Interstate 20.Once the line clears, clouds will follow and temperatures will return to the 50s. The cooler air will be felt by Friday afternoon through Sunday morning.
