Blades of Fire is an interesting concept. It has the heart of a Soulslike but brings many of its own ideas to the table, such as losing weapons on death, a combat system that relies on targeting body parts, and a complex weapon crafting system. MercurySteam, the developers best known for Metroid Dread and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, are the team behind this latest Soulslike. Blades of Fire is a style of game they have never done before, and it's a valiant effort for the most part.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon has a unique bonfire mechanic, similar to Dark Souls, where players can rest and level up their character. These bonfires also provide fast travel, allowing you to teleport quickly across the map. However, in order to fast travel from bonfires, players have to use Ethereal Cobwebs, a mysterious material found in the game world. Ethereal Cobwebs can also be used to identify items at the bonfire, revealing strong weapons and items.

Shadow of the Horns is an early main quest in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon and the main objective is to find a way to enter the All-Mother's Temple. However, this is not as easy as it seems. While there is a waypoint to the All-Mother's Temple, you won't be able to walk right on in. If you attempt to do this, you'll be considered a trespasser and the guards will attack. Questline, the developers of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, clearly drew inspiration from that franchise, and that's apparent from the moment you boot up the game.
