    LaCROSSE, Wis. – Despite 20 turnovers, the Bellevue University men's basketball team clamped down defensively to defeat Viterbo University 58-49 in a defensive slugfest on Saturday, Feb. 3. Bellevue improves to 10-14 overall and 5-3 in NSAA play. Viterbo slides to 9-14 and 3-5 in conference action. Coupled with a Dakota State loss at Waldorf, the Bruins move into a three-way tie for first atop the North Star standings with Dakota State and Mayville State with each having four games to play.

    After squandering a 20-point second-half advantage, the Bellevue University men's basketball team used two late free throws by Liam Thompson to open NSAA action with a dramatic 69-68 victory over visiting Dakota State on Saturday, Jan. 6 in the Gordon Lozier Athletic Center. With the win, the Bruins improved to 6-11 on the season and 1-0 in the NSAA. DSU dropped to 10-7 overall and 0-1 in league play. TJ Fritz led the Bruins with 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting. He was 4-of-6 from long range.
