The 2025 Spring season in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League II is completed and the softball, baseball and girls’ soccer titles were won by three different teams, but two different schools. Eisenhower High School won both the baseball and girls’ soccer AVCTL II championships, while Salina Central captured the AVCTL II softball championship. Salina Central won the AVCTL II softball title as they Lady Mustangs finished with a 21-8, 9-3 record.

The Heart of America Conference saw its 2025 spring season come to an end this past week with two teams representing it in the Class 2-1A state tournaments. The HOA was represented by Inman in the Class 2-1A state softball tournament and Remington in the Class 2-1A state baseball tournament. Inman finished in 2nd place in the softball tournament while Remington finished in 4th place in the baseball tournament.

The 2025 Spring season is completed in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League I and the softball, baseball and girls’ soccer titles were won by two different schools as Maize South captured both the AVCTL I softball and soccer regular season titles while Campus won the 2025 AVCTL I baseball regular season championship. The Maize South Lady Mavericks won the AVCTL I softball title with a 30-1, 12-0 record. Salina South finished in third place with a 20-8, 7-5 record.

Key Points – A live-fire assessment of a Taurus Judge revolver, chambered for .45 Colt and .410 shotshells, revealed mixed performance and significant issues. -While .410 rounds (Hornady Triple Defense) functioned smoothly with manageable recoil and acceptable 7-yard accuracy, shooting .45 Colt ammunition (Blazer 200gr JHP) was problematic, with a binding cylinder and very rough trigger action. -Accuracy with .45 Colt at 25 yards was poor.
